It's been a while....

So life has been a little crazy since our last post. Exactly 1 week after Josh finished school, he surprised us in coming home early from work. Being a Kennecott employee, this NEVER happens! It only happened this particular day BECAUSE, as of that morning, he was no longer employed at Kennecott! Yep! He is a "statistic"! Now, go ahead and pick your chin up off the floor. We are doing ok....considering. And as long as he can find another job in the next few months, we should be just fine. (pray for us!)
Then, exactly 1 week after THAT, I went in for my long awaited surgery of having a hysterectomy. And I am doing fine. I do feel like I just had a baby. And I do NOT make a very good druggie. And the best part is that I was able to keep 1 of my ovaries, so no "hormones" and "trial and error" for me!

And that's our update.

I do have to "blog" about something funny before I'm done.....so over the weekend, I took advantage of my many coupons and went to Smith's for their sale on Fruit Snacks. I had 16 coupons, so of course I stocked up! I tried to get a variety, and Fruit by the Foot was included in the sale, so I got a few of those. Well, Josh packed 1 for each of the boys in their lunches today. And upon arriving home from school, Zach says to me....
"mom, are you and dad my REAL parents?"
Me: "ummm....yeeaaahhhh."
Zach: "I mean are you the same parents that I had a while ago?"
Me: "ummmm....yeeeahhhh. I'm still the same mom that gave birth to you and raised you and your brother and sister."
Zach: "well, it's like you're different parents cause you bought us Fruit by the Foot."

Funny kid.

Meg that is Hilarious what Zach said. How do kids come UP with this stuff? Also, I am sorry you had to have surgery...but why am I strangely jealous that you got a hysterectomy? Oh, must be the same little affliction we both know and love called endo?! Also so sorry about Josh's job! We will add you to our little prayer list!
