Body Love

Not really sure about "claiming" that I love the shape of my body. It is something I think about constantly and way too much. Something that every morning when I pull my pants on, I wish were different. And I'm sure I'm not the only girl in the world with these thoughts...there might be a few more of you out there.... :) However, I was updating myself with this amazing story and it really struck me how grateful I need to be and should be for my body. It is such an amazing GIFT that our Father in Heaven has given each of us. And I realized that by wishing so bad that I could change it, I was in turn saying to Him, "I don't like it, I want a new one"... like a snotty little child opening a gift and turning up their nose, because it wasn't good enough. I should also be so grateful that my body is healthy and strong. There is nothing wrong with it. Just last week I threw out my back and was in bed for 2 days. I couldn't do anything. It hurt to walk, it hurt to sit, & it hurt to lay in certain positions. I'm am so grateful that it was only temporary. And I'm so grateful that my body has the ability to mend and heal itself. Just like hers. Our bodies are amazing. I found THIS BLOG throught the one above, and it's my new favorite. It was empowing to read. It made me feel better about myself. I think every girl should visit this blog....it will make you feel a little better about yourself. And that's a good thing.

I agree! We do have to try to be grateful for our bodies no matter what their shape and size, but boy is it hard sometimes!

Meg, I wanted to thank you for posting your thoughts and the info for her blog. It has changed my life reading it (it least it has for the last 2 days since I have been able to do nothing else!) Hopefully it will change me for a long time, what an amazing family!
