You put the "grand" in Grandma

Laverne Emily Aston Bowers

It seems like only a few short weeks ago during a conversation with my girlfriends, that I said how I haven't experienced the death of a close relative.
And now I am sitting here trying to figure out what one even says
about something so sad, and yet so inevitable.
My Grandma B lived to be 90 years old...she was such an amazing person.
She was always so sweet and cheerful. EVERY time we saw her, she always
told me and the rest of the girls in our family, how beautiful we were, how proud
she was of us, and how much she loved us.
"You're such a doll" she always said.
One of the things I will always remember about my beautiful grandma, is how well she took care of herself. She was always dressed nicely, no matter the occasion. I never saw her in jeans, sneakers, sweats...etc!! I don't even think she owned them! Her hair was always done, her nails always painted (mostly red), her skin always soft and smooth, and she ALWAYS, always smelled so good. And of course she always had her jewelry on!

She was and will always be "such a doll".
I will forever be grateful she was my Grandma.

I love you Grandma!

I'm sorry for your loss Megan. My grandfather passed away in December, it's so hard, but it's great to know we will see them again.

Meg, I'm so sorry about your grandma! I have a "grandma B" too. Doesn't it make you pause and be grateful for the wonderful people we get to spend some of our earthly time with, and now you have your own angel too! Hope you're doing okay! Love ya! -Jeni Williams
